There are two variants on the main game: Super Weapon and Salvo. It gives the illusion you are playing against different opponents. The single-player mode is good fun and I appreciate how the computer's intelligence veered from wicked smart to bizarre stupidity with each game, not within the same game. You drag your ships into position on your map and then tap squares on your rival's grid to hunt their fleet. Battleship handles exactly as you would expect.
